Auric Tide is inspired by the tidal rock formations revealed at Barnhill Station on the northern coast of Western Australia. The glossy black surface echoes the depth of exposed stone, while the flowing gold traces recall the edges of layered rock catching the serene glow of the setting sun.
It reflects a moment of solitude and quiet pleasure, wandering barefoot among the pools, carefree as the tide withdrew and the day surrendered to dusk. In this work, the rhythm of erosion and light becomes both a meditation on time and a celebration of simple, unguarded joy at the meeting of land, sea, and sky.
